Pausing My Campaign for Leon County Commission

Dear Friends, Colleagues, and Supporters,

This is a trying time for our community. As the impacts of the COVID-19 virus continue to spread around the globe there is a great concern for how we all may be affected. I believe this time of social distancing and shifting norms has also caused many to pause and consider what is most important. For me, that means being with family, helping neighbors, and taking care of the most vulnerable in our community.

After deep personal reflection these past few days, I have determined that our very active campaign and the team that powers it will be pulling back significantly on our efforts until the community we love is able to return to some form of normalcy.  At the appropriate time, we will go back to work harder than ever to try and earn your trust and support in the August primary.  For now, our Hendry for Leon County Commission team will be focused on our families, our faith, the needs of our neighbors, and doing what we can to support the ongoing efforts designed to care for our community.

Thank you for your continued support and confidence and please know that I am committed to doing everything I can to see our community get back on track as soon as possible. I remain enthusiastic about our campaign and the many reasons I have for pursuing public office. I look forward to resuming that work soon.

May God Bless our community and all those in this fight around the globe,
